To have confidence as a person is to have belief or faith in yourself, without fear, to recognise your talents and have the ability to live life positively to achieve the things you want to do.Confidence usually is equated to good self-esteem, so if you are feeling ‘less than’, the chances are that your self esteem is lower than it should be. Characteristics of confidence are:
- The ability to accept and give compliments.
- Being responsible and accountable for your own actions.
- Being willing to take risks to move forward in your life, doing what you think is right.
- Liking and loving yourself and others, and being optimistic.
Sometimes experiences in our lives knock us emotionally. Counselling is beneficial to unpack our experiences and our belief systems to work out practical solutions on how to re-build our confidence. and self-esteem.
